Citizens’ United Political Victory Fund, the PAC associated with the conservative group Citizens United, is endorsing Chad Mathis in the race to replace retiring Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-Ala.).
According to details shared exclusively with The Hill, the group will contribute $5,000 to Mathis’ primary campaign and is backing the orthopedic surgeon in the race in part because of his medical background.
“As a surgeon, Dr. Chad Mathis has a unique perspective of the ill-effects of Obamacare and how this flawed legislation is killing American medicine,” said David Bossie, Citizens United president. “He will be able to debunk the many myths the Left puts forth when attempting to sell Obamacare to the American people.”
