Talking and Spinning the Iranian Nuclear Threat at the UN

Today at the UN, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad demonstrated that actions have consequences and words have meaning. Or in this case, lack of words.

We wrote yesterday that President Obama dedicated only about 6 percent of his speech at the UN to Iran’s nuclear program (232 words out of more than 4,000). Ahmadinejad in turn only dedicated 161 words in his speech to (crazily) discussing the nuclear situation and blaming “uncivilized Zionists.”

While they’re talking, Iran’s centrifuges are still spinning, enriching the uranium needed to make atomic bombs.

President Obama, if you don’t make ending Iran’s nuclear threat a priority, Iran won’t make dismantling the program a priority and their centrifuges will keep on spinning – until it’s too late.

talking, and Iran’s centrifuges are still spinning.
