Politico: CUPVF Stands with Jim Jordan – 7/29/11
Citizens United is wasting no time pledging its allegiance to the Ohio Republican, fresh off a report he could pay a political price for his face-off with Speaker John Boehner in the debt ceiling debate. The conservative group’s PAC is contributing $10,000 to Jordan’s reelection campaign — in what’s meant to send a shot across the bow to the GOP establishment, POLITICO has learned.
“Washington needs members of Congress who stand on principle, and RSC Chairman Jim Jordan’s stance over the last year has been a profile in courage.” said Citizens United President David Bossie in a statement to be released Friday afternoon. “America is $14 trillion in debt, and the leadership displayed by RSC Chairman Jordan will help put America on the right track for future generations. I urge all conservative groups to stand united behind Republican Study Committee Chairman Jim Jordan,” continued Bossie.
