Mourdock Takes The Lead In Indiana GOP Senate Race According To CUPVF Poll
Citizens United Political Victory Fund (CUPVF), the affiliated PAC of Citizens United, released a poll today conducted by Wenzel Strategies showing long-time incumbent U.S. Senator Richard Lugar losing to Indiana State Treasurer Richard Mourdock in the Indiana Senate Republican Primary race. The poll was conducted via telephone interview from April 24-25, included 601 respondents, and has a 3.97% margin of error. Click here for polling memo. Click here for toplines. In a previous CUPVF Indiana Senate Poll released in March, Indiana State Treasurer Richard Mourdock was losing to Richard Lugar, 45 percent to 29 percent.
“Indiana Republican primary voters are rejecting the fiscally irresponsible positions Dick Lugar has taken throughout his career,” said David N. Bossie, President of Citizens United. “The wind is clearly at the back of Richard Mourdock in the final stretch of the campaign. Hoosiers are ready for new leadership in the United States Senate.”
