The Conservative PAC For Conservative Candidates

(CNN) – With the addition of two more potential presidential candidates, the Conservative Principles Conference hosted by Iowa Rep. Steve King is turning into another big gathering of 2012 hopefuls.

Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich will join Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton, radio host Herman Cain, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum and the banquet’s keynote speaker, South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint, at the March 26th event in the first-in-the-nation presidential caucus state. According to a press release, the politicians will join participating organizations which include the Tea Party Patriots, the Family Research Council and Citizens United.

According to the website for the Iowa congressman’s Conservative Principles PAC, the group “has a unique opportunity to help filter the candidates’ character, positions on the issues and, their ability to communicate, relate, and organize.”
