Citizens United Releases Documentary For 10th Anniversary Of Landmark Supreme Court Victory
Today Citizens United released a new film that takes a fresh look at our landmark victory for free speech at the Supreme Court in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission.
The Fight For Free Speech: Citizens United Ten Years Later, goes back to 2004 to discuss the origins of the case, onto the oral arguments at the Supreme Court in 2009, to the historic ruling handed down in 2010, and then highlights the impact and legacy of the decision.
The film stars Citizens United President David N. Bossie; Citizens United Executive Vice President & General Counsel Michael Boos; U.S. Senator Ted Cruz; U.S. Senator Mike Lee; former U.S. Solicitor General Ted Olson, who argued the case for Citizens United before the Supreme Court; Matt McGill, who played a prominent role on the Citizens United legal team for the case; and Cleta Mitchell, a highly respected campaign finance attorney.
