Bossie: “Hoosiers Nominated A True Conservative Tonight”

5/8/2012 7:59:51 PM

David N. Bossie, President of Citizens United, made the following statement tonight in regards to Indiana Treasurer Richard Mourdock defeating Senator Dick Lugar in Indiana’s U.S. Senate Republican Primary:

“Hoosiers nominated a true conservative tonight. When Citizens United Political Victory Fund endorsed Richard Mourdock in August 2011, we knew he would run a smart race and would never shy away from his core conservative beliefs that he shares with Indiana voters. During the next Congress, federal spending will have to be addressed and Richard Mourdock will be among the conservatives leading the charge for common sense reform in the U.S. Senate.”
