Bossie: “Lugar Visiting Indiana on the Taxpayers’ Dime”

3/22/2012 12:13:03 PM

Citizens United Political Victory Fund (CUPVF), the affiliated PAC of Citizens United, released the following statement from Citizens United President David N. Bossie on the recent revelations uncovered by Politico that Indiana Senator Richard Lugar has spent a considerable amount of taxpayers’ money on hotels in Indiana.

“With his primary race tightening, Richard Lugar received more bad press this week when it was revealed that he has billed taxpayers over $70,000 to stay in hotels across Indiana because he does not have a permanent residence in the Hoosier State. Richard Lugar is visiting Indiana on the taxpayers’ dime. Republicans in Indiana need to elect Richard Mourdock, a true conservative who will never forget his Indiana roots and will always fight for conservative values.”
