Citizens United Political Victory Fund (CUPVF), the affiliated PAC of Citizens United, is proud to announce its endorsement of Congressman John Fleming for the open U.S. Senate seat in Louisiana today.
“Louisianans deserve a trusted conservative in the United States Senate who will put the priorities of the people of Louisiana first and Congressman John Fleming is that trusted conservative,” said David N. Bossie, President of Citizens United.
“Dr. Fleming has been a conservative change agent in the United States House of Representatives leading principled fights against former Speaker John Boehner’s big spending Obama-lite policies. Congressman Boustany on the other hand, has been described by the highly-respected Almanac of American Politics as having a ‘close relationship with House Speaker John Boehner’ and having a voting record that is ‘relatively moderate for a Southern Republican’” Bossie continued.
“The contrast in this race could not be more clear. If you want a strong conservative leader who will stand up to Washington’s failed status quo and fight to make Washington work for the people of Louisiana, I urge all voters to support John Fleming in Louisiana’s primary election for the U.S. Senate in 2016,” Bossie concluded.
CUPVF has also contributed $5,000 to Dr. Fleming for the upcoming primary election.
CUPVF previously endorsed Former Congressman and now Attorney General-elect Jeff Landry against Charles Boustany in the 2012 congressional primary that was caused by redistricting for many of the same reasons.
