The 2008 elections are clearly a watershed moment in the history of the United States and will determine the course our country takes for the next decade. Like the Marines of the Conservative Movement, Citizens United Political Victory Fund will be the first in and last out of this critical election fight.

Citizens United Political Victory Fund (CUPVF) is one of the top conservative political action committees in the United States. During the 2006 election cycle, CUPVF made political contributions to 10 U.S. Senate races totaling $63,500, three joint fundraising committees totaling $9,500, and 36 U.S. House races totaling $84,000, for a grand total of $157,000. CUPVF also spent nearly $200,000 on a hard-hitting national television ad highlighting the importance of using all the tools available to us in fighting the war on terror. For the 2008 cycle, CUPVF will again play a prominent role in helping elect Ronald Reagan conservatives to federal office. We have already begun the process of analyzing the political landscape and prospective candidates for 2008.

Its mission is to support conservative candidates running for federal office who share Citizens United's vision of reducing the size and scope of government, lowering taxes, cutting spending, promoting traditional family values, and winning the war on terror. CUPVF's goal for the 2008 election cycle is to recapture the majorities in the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives by electing candidates who will fight for conservative principles, and to elect a conservative president dedicated to leading the United States to victory in the war on terror.

Attacks Democratic Weakness in Fighting Terrorism
Washington, DC Citizens United, a conservative grassroots advocacy organization, together with its political action committee, Citizens United Political Victory Fund, are unveiling a major campaign advertisement targeting Democrats for their opposition to the terrorist surveillance program that authorizes the interception of international communications of people with known links to terrorist groups.

New York-based political consultant Kieran Mahoney's survey of probable Republican participants in the 2008 Iowa presidential caucuses showed this support for the "big three" candidates: John McCain, 20.5 percent; Rudy Giuliani, 16.3 percent; Mitt Romney, 3.5 percent. Astonishingly, they all trailed James Gilmore, the former governor of Virginia, who had 31 percent.
How could that be? Because it was not a legitimate survey but a "push poll," normally a clandestine effort to rig the results by telling respondents negative things about some of the candidates. But Mahoney makes no secret that the voters he sampled were told of liberal deviations by McCain, Giuliani and Romney, as well as true-blue conservatism by Gilmore, who is Mahoney's client.
