Politico: Picking Cotton

4/19/2012 9:27:41 AM

The Citizens United Political Victory Fund plans Thursday to announce its endorsement of House candidate Tom Cotton, making it the latest conservative group to line up behind the Arkansas Republican.

What's notable about the announcement is that the PAC backed one of Cotton's rivals, former Huckabee aide Beth Anne Rankin, in 2010 when she first ran unsuccessfully for the seat.

This time around, Rankin is running again but CUPVF has gone all in with Cotton, whose youth, conservatism, military background and Harvard Law School credentials have captured the imagination of the conservative media.
