Washington, DC—Citizens United, a conservative grassroots advocacy organization, together with its political action committee, Citizens United Political Victory Fund, are unveiling a major campaign advertisement targeting Democrats for their opposition to the terrorist surveillance program that authorizes the interception of international communications of people with known links to terrorist groups.

The ad, which was produced by political strategist Dick Morris and Citizens United president David Bossie, premiered on FOX News Channel’s Hannity & Colmes and will appear nationwide on FOX News Channel in the days before the November 7th midterm elections.

“A Democratic Congress would jeopardize our national security and reverse real progress in the Republican War on Terror. The Democrats are more interested in protecting the rights of terrorists than protecting American families,” said David Bossie.

The ad features a dramatized conversation between two terrorists planning a lethal terrorist attack. The conversation is disconnected by Democrats. The script reads:

“This terrorist wiretap has been disconnected by a Democratic controlled Congress."

“If the Democrats win, the NSA won’t be able to listen as terrorists plot to attack.”

“This year, vote like your life depends on it. Because it does.”

Paid for by Citizens United Political Victory Fund and not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee. Federal law prohibits CUPVF from soliciting donations from sources other than its members and executive or administrative personnel and their families. Contributions received from other sources will be returned to the donor. Contributions to CUPVF are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
